My son Hudson is 10. He watches me build things with AI every day. One day he said, “Dad, can we build something together?”
So we built Moder.fun.
#The Process
I didn’t write the code for him. I showed him how to talk to the AI, how to describe what he wanted, how to iterate. He’d say “I want a button that does this” and we’d figure it out together.
The look on his face when something he described actually appeared on screen? That’s the whole point.
#Why This Matters
We’re entering an era where the barrier to building software is collapsing. You don’t need to know how to code to build an app. You need to know how to think clearly and describe what you want.
My daughter Makenzie is 8. She’s next.
#The Lesson
The best thing I can teach my kids isn’t any specific technology. It’s the builder mindset. See a problem, build a solution. Have an idea, make it real.
AI makes that possible for everyone now. Not just engineers. Not just adults. Everyone.
That’s the future I’m building toward.
